"Scammers!!"
Scammers!!! I had an order placed on Amazon at Christmas time I used Affirm at checkout. I noticed several loans I did not originate on my Affirm account. They can not tell you where it came from or what it was for. They will not work with you or side refunds. Please do yourself a favor and do not do business with them. Also I had hackers take $600 out of my bank account after I used affirm.

I've been trying to get this company to fix my address for 2 months. Meanwhile I can't purchase anything and they won't close my account. Your reply is generic. If it were this simple I wouldn't have had to leave this review.

"Affirm runs a bait and switch scam…"
Affirm runs a bait and switch scam luring people into thinking they can make a purchase with an initial down payment and letting you do so by credit card. They celebratory language with excitement fonts !!!! and this is where it starts with the smoke and mirrors because once you have wow oh wow been approved, paid the initial down payment and you are shown your payment schedule and told as long as you make your payment on time or even before on time, there is no interest charge. Except when you get an email telling your second payment is going to be due and you have interest to pay. If you chose to make a 1 time all payment you cannot use your cc anymore and Affirm never tells you this at any point up front. You can only make payments after your initial down payment with either a debit card or wire transfer from your bank which and here’s the kicker..,, you have to give them your actual bank log in information. That’s right you read that right- your actual, private bank username and password. You know the one you use just yourself to online bank. If you want to send a check, a paper check it takes approx 10 days to process all the while your check is going through the postal service, even if you fed ex it overnight - no matter it’s approx 10 days til they post you have paid. Wait for it. All those days Affirm is adding interest to the amount you sent. So you think in good faith you are paying the loan in full with your check and Affirm is adding interest to the amount. So let’s say you 100.00 and send them a check for the amount. They get your check and cash it and yes, you paid the 100.00 you owed on Monday - the amount Affirm on Monday or Tuesday or Weds.- etc. Whatever day it is that you see the owed amount and write that number in the check. But Affirm tells you hey, while your check was in the mail or we were lazy or understaffed or whatever that 100.00 has accrued interest and you owe additional monies for the 10 days it took Affirm to cash and post your check. Meaning you are in a predatory bind set up by Affirm. Affirm forces you to either overpay and I doubt they ever ever send you a check for any extra money you sent hoping or force you to use your debit card or bank transfer - having then a record of your very private information. Do not use Affirm in my experience it is a classic bait and switch, a predatory company.

"Made a purchase from Calibrate"
Made a purchase from Calibrate with Affirm. They failed to provide the service they said they could and I have no recourse. If I had used my credit card they would have advocated for me and I would have gotten a refund. The worst issue I have with them, if the vendor is crap you have no recourse and no alley. They wont help you get a refund for services not provided or if the item is bad. I will never use Affirm again keep using my credit card which protects me their customer instead of the vendor. Do not recommend this form of payment.

"affirm did the right thing"
I was nervous affirm would not do the right thing with a recent purchase with Interior define who went out of business but Affirm reviewed the situation and returned my funds and made things right. This was a situation where I ordered a couch and was promised later delivery and the furniture company went out of business. Affirm made things right !

Wont respond to requests from debtors or trustee to refund money as requested tell you 30 days and nothing happens lie lie don’t trust this company at all. Months go by and don’t hear a thing call get the run around don’t use PayBright no customer service at all. Expedited yeah right

"I received a recorded call from Affirm…"
I received a recorded call from Affirm 800-976-4490 on January 16th at 4:07 pm telling me to press 1 to confirm or deny my purchase of a Peleton and authorization to finance it through Affirm. I pressed one and the man, who sounded like he was calling from an Internet cafe in a foreign country, asked me why I was calling. I repeated what the recording said and told him I did NOT purchase anything. He asked me if I was confirming my purchase and authorizing Affirm to finance the Peleton? I told him NO again and said I confirm NOTHING. He asked me a third time and I said NO repeatedly. He hung up on me. I tried to call affirm who was no help, a complete waste of time. I will NEVER purchase a Peleton or anything from anyone who contracts with Affirm. How they have a A- on BBB with one star reviews is beyond me. Read the reviews. They have horrible reviews all the web.

"Do not use this company ever!"
Do not use this company ever! I tried to cancel a hotel reservation I didn’t use due to being ill! They made me send all this documentation in just to tell me they can’t refund it and I still have to pay even though I didn’t stay at the hotel. I will never use this company again and I refer anybody else not to either. They are a pure scam. It’s best just to use your credit card for now. Ridiculous company!

"HORRIBLE COMPANY! Do not use!"
Do not get credit from this company. Horrible customer service. Will not refund your money when you return an item. So you end up being without the item and still having to pay for it. I'm only able to talk to a low-level customer service people who have no power. Promises are made nothing is ever done. They close case for bogus reasons, then reopen it when I call to complain, saying they're sorry and they understand. And then close it again. They just hope they will cause you enough problems that you will just go away. I will never use this company again, and I will never refer them to anyone. I warn all of you not to use this company.

Affirm you will always make me remember Fri the 13th. No STARS actually. You took out your payment. Why did you put a hold on 4 MORE payments and then I have to wait 2 business day, (its Fri) to get the hold off.. ARE YOU FREAKING KINDING ME. i cant transfer funds from savings so I can pay other bills cause my account is negative and overdrawn. I cant do ANYTHING until they remove the hold.. this is NOT GOOD BUSINESS...

In answer to Affirms comment, I have already contacted your customer service and was told it would be another 3-7 business days before I see my money because of your technical issues! I am not happy that my bank account was totally drained and I can't get my money back now. It has been 2 days since my bank account was overdrawn and I have bills I need to pay, but I can't because of your technical issue!!

"Fraudulent Activity"
THIS COMPANY IS AN ABSOLUTE SCAM! Woke up this morning to find my account overdrafted $200. I made a single payment of $150 yesterday, well they took out 5 payments of $150. I do not have any money in my account. I only owed one more payment of 150 so they took way more than I even owed. They took out $750 from my account. It even overdrafted my credit card. Now I've been trying to get this straightened out all morning and no one can help me. They can't even tell me if my money will be refunded. THEY EVEN ADMITTED ON THEIR TWITTER THAT THEY TOOK MONEY OUT OF PEOPLE'S ACCOUNT. WE WANT ANSWERS AND WE WANT OUR MONEY BACK. Like for real, this is theft! No authorization of this on my part. I am so upset over this, how does this even happen!? Please do not do business with this company.
